Speakers no longer working properly ... sort of hear feedback/static that I didn't hear before. Can internal speakers become damaged?
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

Hi,
If your MacBook Pro has Intel Processor, resetting NVRAM could solve sound related issues.
Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
If it doesn't help, try to run Apple Diagnostics if it's an audio hardware related issue(VFF001, VFF002, and VFF003).
