MS Word 365 Zoom Issue

I'm using MS Office 365 on my MacBook Pro running Big Sur 11.2.3.

Every time I open a MS Word document, it starts with a zoom level of 500%. Even after dialing back the zoom level to 100% in the View tab, it again reopens at 500% zoom when I open a Word document after a shutdown.

Zoom CPU utilization killing MBP Zoom causing abnormal high 200% cpu utilization, with kernel_task process at 1000%. This killing performance on 2019 MacBook Pro with Big Sur 11.5 & Latest Zoom client for MacOS. The lag is so bad that windows cannot be moved and typing in notes lags by several seconds per character. Any ideas what may be causing this? It seems to have started in late December.

screen zooms in for no reason my screen zooms in for no reason. I do not have smart zoom checked. It also jumps around the page, especially when I'm typing something. Running Big Sur.
