Apple TV movie buffering
Why does a movie sometimes take over an hour to load when the internet connection is fine? The screen resolution is too high so it makes no sense.

From which streaming service are you trying to watch this content? Did you notice a difference per content provider, or is it roughly equal for each of them?
Possibly the Apple TV box experiences less than its full potential of the internet connection through your home network.
- Try restarting both the router and the Apple TV box.
- Try optimizing the Wi-Fi channels, in case of interference by your neighbors’ home networks.
- Try searching for causes of other wireless interference that may reduce speed for the Apple TV box.
- When this happens, test the speed on the receiving device, using the Speedtest app for Apple TV (4th generation or later), as that will include any effects that may be specific for this device at that time.
