RTProtectionDaemon

Since the conversation on the same subject in 2017, it appears Malwarebytes has added another way to tone down the CPU usage of the RT Protection Daemon. Under the settings menu in My Account, there is an "advanced" tab that gives the option of High, Medium, or Low CPU usage. I played around with it and found that the low setting rarely goes above 25%, the Medium rarely above 50% and the High (recommended [of course]) usually pegs 90% or above.

Either turn off the Malware protection in the Malwarebytes drop-down menu on the top bar as suggested by drmikenyc (in 2017 - earlier thread) or use the advanced tab in the settings menu to tone down the activity and still get the intended job done of full-time protection albeit, at a slower pace supposedly.

This was probably in answer to many squawks about the issue and Malwarebytes listened. Hat tip to Malwarebytes!
