camera smudge/coating defect?

hi, the wide angle camera on my phone seem to have a weird smudge which does not go away. it does wipe off when using a cloth but whenever something touches it, the smudge comes back with the exact same shape. looks like something wrong with the coating that must have been put on the wide angle camera. see the images below:
