Apple watch app does not show on phone but app store says open

If App Store says Open then you have not uninstalled the app, you just mislaid the icon.

Swipe through your home screens til you get to App Library

Search for the app

Tap and hold and move it to a home screen

Top one (OPEN) is still in the phone

Bottom one (cloud) has been deleted from the phone.

Now the original question said it showed as OPEN

Hence the correct answer was recommended by Apple.

Find it in App Library and move it to Home Screen.

I have the same issue. I don’t succeed in holding the app to move out of App Store view to Home Screen view. Would you have a link to a video moving any app this way from App Store to Home Screen in iPhone?

Go to restore purchases in account settings and follow instructions. Also check your phone setting to be sure it is set up properly. And if you don’t have an Apple Watch I’m sure the app would not work correctly either.

You download from App “Store” using the cloud symbol.

You tap and drag from App “Library”

Click on this link

Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone

In this case the free app is already in the phone. No need to restore anything, just move it out of App Library.

If that’ s so why cant i just go to app library and move deleted apps from there? Because they are deleted thats why. Level 7.

Also Even tho its a free app its still under purchases in account settings. Have a look.

The app as it says was deleted but yes you are correct. If you never deleted it thats where it will be.

This is a classic misunderstanding, ever since App Library was introduced in iOS14.
