Mouse (razer essential) left and right click buttons randomly bugging out & freezing during minecraft gameplay.
Apple device: MacBook Pro Big Sur
Mouse: Razer DeathAdder Essential v2 White
Hey, so recently I bought the Razer mouse stated above from Amazon, and I began to experience some issues with it while only playing minecraft. For every 5-10 minutes or so, my DeathAdder's right click would randomly freeze, which means when I click it, it does not respond in-game at all. It doesn't perform the clicks after the bug goes away, which means it's not lag. My left click and sensitivity also suddenly becomes somewhat bugged out, with the DPI being extremely choppy and 50% of my left clicks not registering.
When I initially experienced this bug, I was frustrated and didn't know what to do. This could last up to 2 minutes at times, with me unplugging and replugging it into my USB port, disconnecting from the server, and doing everything I can. Eventually if found a solution which is to tab out and go to the multiplayer menu, and come back again, which fixes the mouse temporarily before glitching out again very soon. This was very frustrating for a person like me who plays competitive minecraft PvP and often needs to "block hit", which is performed by right clicking. I can't just tab out mid-fight. I will die and probably lose the game because of it.
Oh, and also I want to mention that I do not use my mouse's configuration software, called Razer Synapse, because it is FREAKING NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MAC. I've read some sources online that tells me about how Razer products are sometimes choppy and laggy when not used with Synapse, but I highly doubt that since one of my friends have been using the same mouse as me for over 1 year now without Synapse, and he never experienced any issues. (On Windows though, that's probably why) A 4-year old office mouse I used before this one didn't have similar issues .
Possible causes that I've eliminated:
- Not the mouse polling rate. Although my mouse's hz is higher than Mac's normal 125hz, I still play the game just fine without any major sensitivity issues (except when 🔼 happens).
- Not because of defective mouse. If it was defective, I shouldn't be able to just tab out in minecraft and instantly remove the freezing. Obviously running Minecraft made my mouse bug out somehow.
My best guess is that I just bought the wrong mouse (not for Apple products), at the wrong time (Razer Synapse not yet compatible with Mac Big Sur).
So I bought a Logitech mouse yesterday on Amazon, which is designed with Apple users in mind, so hopefully I'll have more luck on that. Do any of you use Logitech with Mac and it is worth it?
Also should I bring this problem to the minecraft forums? I didn't because I figured it's because I'm the only one in millions who use Mac, and other people never experienced the same issues.
If someone could help me solve this frustrating problem, it would be very very very much appreciated.
