Apple Watch Series 3 constantly showing now playing symbol?

For a few days now my Apple Watch has been opening now playing and constantly showing the now playing symbol at the top of the watch face, even though there is nothing playing on my iPhone or watch. I've tried to play, pause and then close something to get it to go away but it still stays there. I've also closed the now playing on my watch and it just opens again. How do I get rid of it?
