problem syning contacts

I am trying to sink all my contact from my iphone 8 to my MacbookPro 2015. When I first got the computer I was able to sink all of the contacts. I have added more contacts onto my phone over time and they do not appear on my computer. What should I do?

Try this, on your MacBook

1. Open Settings

2. Select Apple ID

3. Select iCloud

4. Uncheck Contacts

5. Reboot your MacBook

6. Go back to Settings -> Apple ID -> iCloud and check Contacts again

Try to see if your contacts are in sync now.

Another thing. Make sure your iPhone is connected to WiFi. iPhone syncs best with iCloud when connected to WiFi.

Of course. On your MacBook, go to:

Settings -> Apple ID -> iCloud. If Find My Mac is enabled, turn it off.

After logging out of Find My Mac, go to Overview and select Sign Out.

Reboot again, also go back and log in again.

Perfect. Are your contacts properly synced? 😊

If it did not make a difference, try this:

On your iPhone, go to:

Settings -> Apple ID (Your Name) -> iCloud. Find contacts in the list. If it is turned on, turn it off and restart your iPhone. When your phone is on again, go back and turn on your contacts. Also connect your phone to a charger and make sure you are connected to WiFi.

Did you try what I wrote before to turn off contacts in iCloud on your iPhone, reboot and turn on again?

Try going to, from your Mac

https://www.icloud.com

and sign in with your Apple ID. Go to the Contacts app and see if all your new contacts have been updated in there.

Hmmm okay ... try going to Settings -> Messages on your iPhone. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID in iMessage as you are in iCloud.

BTW: Your email address is visible, I thought you should delete the image.

To delete the image, press the small arrow next to the Helpful button, select edit and remove the image.

To find out what your iMessage address is, go to (On your iPhone)

Settings -> Messages -> Send & Receive. There you can see the email address, it should be the same as your iCloud.

But it does not solve the contact problem so far. I'm running out of ideas for why your MacBook is not syncing your contacts from iCloud. Are you sure you are logged in to the same Apple ID, both on your Mac and your iPhone?

There is a moderator who has removed the image, so everything is fine👍

Hmm okay, let's summarize.

1. You have signed out of your Apple ID on your MacBook, and signed in again.

2. You have signed out of your Apple ID on your iPhone, and signed in again.

3. You have rebooted both devices

4. You've turned Contacts on and off in the iCloud menu, both on your MacBook and iPhone.

What do we miss.... ?

The image has already been removed. So no worries.

You can always check under Settings -> Apple ID on your Mac. Below your profile picture and name is your email address which is your Apple ID, it must be the same email address, both on Mac and iPhone.

Okay, try opening the Contacts app on your MacBook. Up in the status bar, press Contacts and select Settings, then select Accounts. Is there a check in "Make that account active"?
