Three finger swip is moving both screens when using iPad Air 4 with Airplay.

Recently, whenever I use AirPlay to use my iPad Air 4 as a second display, the three-finger swipe moves both my MacBook and my iPad screens. How do I stop it from doing this so that I can effectively use full screen apps with AirPlay?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

Hello cantstandya7,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand that when you use the three finger swipe it moves the screen on both the MacBook and iPad. We'll do our best to help. Have you tried restarting your devices? A restart can help to refresh the OS and connections.

Thanks for the response. I've checked that both devices' OS is up to date, shut down and rebooted, and adjusted setting for sidecar preferences and display preferences and I'm still having the same issue. I've had both devices since last fall and did not have this issue in the past, it's only been the last month or so that I've started seeing this problem.
