Can't access documents folder remotely

I'm trying to log into my Mac remotely. I am logged in via IP address and can view Movies, Music, Pictures, and Public folders, but cannot view Desktop, Documents, or Downloads. There are no substantive differences between the permissions and sharing settings for the folders I'm able to see vs. those I'm not. I'm trying to access a Mac Mini with M1 chip from a MacBook Air. Both are up to date and running Big Sur. What is the trick to viewing all folders when logged in to the Mac Mini remotely?

Hi chuck_3rd,

Thank you for your reply. I triple-checked my permissions, and everything was set correctly. Everything was set exactly the same for folders I could access and those I couldn't. I was able to get it working by stopping file sharing and remote access and turning them back on, and restarting both machines. I had earlier turned file sharing and remote access off and back on, but hadn't tried restarting the machines. This extra step seems to have been the key. The problem is solved.
