How long do the AirPods max hold the charge in the case?

Is it best to leave them on a charger every night? I know on the support page it says if they are in the case low power mode turns on after 18hrs, but what does that mean the battery will be at in the morning?

I accidentally let my airpods charge for about 18 hours I just got new AirPods. They are the second gen. with wireless charging case. I plugged them in with the lightning cable yesterday and forgot until today. They were charging for about 18 hours. What is the batter technology on these? Will accidentally leaving them charge like that cause battery issues? Thanks
