iMessage Reply Function Doesn't Work Properly

It's great that you can now reply to a specific message. However, after replying to a message, iMessage freezes on that message is no longer usable. It's not like WhatsApp where you can immediately send another message or go to another recipient. I've tried tapping and swiping and nothing seems to work. Eventually it releases you from that particular message, but it takes time. Or if you exit and re-enter the app several times it becomes usable again for the next message.

What is the solution for this problem?
