Iphone 7 plus motherboard

My iphone7 plus works fine but my microphone does not work? I went to a repair shop to check they said it's a problem with the motherboard. Apple announced that they have been having problems like this in iphone 7 or 7 plus. I need to know if they can fix it for free or at least cheap.

microphone After speaking to apple support, the microphone on the phone is not working. The audio section has disconnected from the motherboard. in regards to repair would it be safe to repair? the speaker icon on phone calls is greyed out and cannot be pressed and the voice memo function doesn't work.
