I have a stereo original Homepods but they don’t appear as a pair when I try to set them up as default audio output. Outside of this I can see them paired (for airplay 2). I hope you can help.

Check that the Homepods are assigned to the same room as the Apple TV 4K in the Home app on your iOS device.
Check that the software is up to date for each of these devices.

Yeah they’re on the same room with the latest update but when I try to setup as default audio on settings it doesn’t recognize them as a pair.

And on the picture below you can see if I play music I can see my Homepods paired.
