Why do my mac has 70GB space missing after removing windows with bootcamp?

I installed kali linux on my mac recently(dual booting with mac os). As my mac has only 256GB ssd and running low on storage , I decided to get rid of the windows. Simply, I just used the bootcamp again to remove windows to recover 70 GB space that I used for it. But now, even after removing windows, that 70GB didn't show up in disk utility. So I had to use the terminal to check list of disks and its just say free space of 70.7GB and no other information. So, how do I get this free space back in use? And I really don't want to lose my data. Is it possible to get it back in use without losing any data? Please Help. Thank you.
