When resetting the screen time password I clicked forgot passcode and entered my Apple ID and password. It then counted that as a wrong passcode even though it is my Apple ID and password. How can I fix this issue?

When I am trying to reset the screen time passcode which I forgot it says it’s wrong. I enter my Apple user name and password to reset the passcode but it counts this as a failed attempt. How can I fix this? I downloaded the latest software last night and restarted the phone

Screen Time passcode reset

If necessary, you will need to restore the device to factory settings. Do not restore from a backup made when the Screen Time code was active.

Restore to Factory setting.
