Autocorrect is messing up

I have followed all the steps to fix this “good” changing to “hood”. I don’t ever use the word hood. I have turned off auto correct. Set the word to change hood to good. Even told it to change good to good. Reset my keyboard option and memory. Turned off prediction. And it still is changing the word. Right now as I type this. It is the most infuriating thing I have ever dealt with.

Hey there, Msingletary1!

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! From your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an issue with the way autocorrect is responding on your iPhone. We want to try and help get you pointed in the right direction.

To verify, what type of iPhone do you use? Which version of the iOS software do you currently have installed on your device? You can find this in Settings > General > About. Also, look over this guide with information on how to How to use Auto-Correction and predictive text on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Do these issues happen when you're using a specific app? If so, what app(s)? Do you have a 3rd party keyboard installed on your device? If so, and you remove it, does the issue persist? If you have not tried already, please Restart your iPhone. Does this help to resolve the issue? Often this simple step will refresh the apps and software on the device to solve numerous problems you may encounter.

We hope this information and these steps help you out.

Take care!
