Moving Books to an external drive

Internal drive is filling up so I need to move the Books onto the external drive.

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

storing books on an external drive and not on the hard drive hello everyone. I just got a new macbookpro and want to store all my ibooks on an external drive.....I have read this is not possible.....I am now storing all of my music/photos this way..on an external drive.....is there some other way to store the books other than on a/the hard drive...Mine, the hard drive, already has a very large mount of needed space devoted to the books.....any insight..?

Store Final Cut Pro Libraries on External Storage? I have a 2017 MacBook Pro with 500GB of storage, about half of which is taken up by my libraries in Final Cut Pro. If I transfer those onto an external hard drive to relieve storage on the built-in hard drive, will I be able to access and use them normally while the external drive is plugged in? Thanks.

The others Just migrated my mac book files to new m1 mini should I be concerned with having 145 gb of storage tied up under "others"?

ibooks rarely use as much storage as movies or music but anyway here goes
