Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro "Accessory Not Supported"

I have an iPad Pro 12.9" (4th gen) and a Magic Keyboard that I've been using with it for a few months. Yesterday, the keyboard quit working, and the iPad shows a message that says "Accessory Not Supported - This accessory is not supported by this device" when it's connected. I have tried removing and re-attaching the keyboard, cleaning the smart connector contacts, hard restarting the iPad, and I even did a full reset of the iPad last night-- no luck. The magnets in the palm rest of the keyboard do still put the iPad to sleep and wake it like they should, but the keys aren't even lighting up, which suggests to me something is wrong with the keyboard itself. Anyone else seen this?
