Since the last update, text message are identified by phone number not name. It’s infuriating as the names are more easily recognised.
Your cellular company only sends the originator's phone number to your Apple device. It is then up to your device to compare that number with people registered in your Contacts list. Have you synchronised your Contacts list with your Apple Watch?
On your iPhone, tap Apple Watch.
Tap My Watch.
Tap General
Tap Reset on the General screen.
Tap Reset Sync Data on the Reset screen.
Then restart your watch.
I have the same problem, but I don’t have an apple watch
Since my last update my watch dose not display names of people who text me, just their phone number. How do I get the names as the phone numbers are meaningless.
