misaligned text

I have tried multiple things to be able to fix this issue with certain websites and emails showing a misaligned and weird look to their copy. Some websites are unreadable because they are even further spread apart vertically and increased spacing.

Has anyone ever encountered this and found a solution? I am not sure if I am missing a font in my library or if it is a deeper issue. I have tried font smoothing in the past, but maybe I did not fully understand.

This is only an issue within Google Chrome if that helps. I can load the same website on Safari with no visual issues.
