Mark all mail as read iphone 12

I can't seem to find the Mark All email as Read option on my iPhone 12. I did a thorough search and it doesn't work for me.

Mail > Mailboxes > Edit in upper right corner> No option of Select all Mailboxes or Select all, so can't Mark all as read

Mail > Mailboxes > Unread mailbox > Edit > Again, no Select All option in upper left corner, just Cancel on upper right or option to select a single email > Mark > No Mark All option, just Mark email as read, Flag, Move to Junk.

Went to Mail in Settings and there's nothing remotely helpful to Mark all emails as Read in one go.

What am I doing wrong? My emails are read on my PC, but for some reason when I linked Gmail account to Mail App on iPhone I've got 400+ unread emails really bugging me.

Hey there, lfari!

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! We understand you're seeing a lot of unread emails after adding the account to your iPhone. We'd like to lend a hand!

If you are viewing "All Inboxes" and swipe down on the screen to refresh, does this help refresh emails to show they are read? If not, make sure you're still in the "All Inboxes" screen, then tap Edit at the top right. Are you now seeing the option to "Select All" and then tap "Mark" at the bottom right of the screen?

Should the options still not be displayed, try closing the Mail app and restarting your iPhone. If this persists, make sure you have the latest iOS installed (14.4.2).

The next step you can take if the emails still show unread is to delete the account and set it up again. The following resource will show you how:

All the best.
