Canon printer will not respond to print from new MacBook Pro.

When I try to print on my Canon Pixma Pro 10 from my New MacBook Pro version 11.2.3., "filterfail" shows up and the printer will not work. What do I need to do to make them connect?

Also, a Canon PRO-10 is mentioned in the article About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting the driverless AirPrint technology, which means that you should be able to use this printer without a driver (if connected to a network).
