Photo ID to open phone IPhone11

Photo ID stopped working, when I tried to re-establish, the process went fine, the camera opened, I centered my face within the brackets and they moved in and out....but nothing else happened?

Camera and flashlight stopped working after 13.6 As soon as I updated to 13.6, my Face ID stopped working along with both the cameras and so has my flashlight. Both cameras have a black screen. Contacted Apple and they said it’s a hardware issue and I have to buy a new phone! There’s no physical damage to my phone and this happened right after the update. Tried everything from resetting to a clean restore, no joy. Anything else I can try?

Face ID works, but I cannot take pictures. Recently when I tried to take a selfie, I noticed my camera app was only showing me a black screen. As I am perfectly able to recalibrate and use my Face ID to unlock my phone, I found this really weird. I took my phone to get the OLED screen replaced last year along with my front camera and speaker, and everything was working fine for a good 2 months up until recently. I’ve tried restarting, updating, going into my camera settings and turning the camera on and off, deleting the camera app and re-downloading, turning off my camera in privacy settings and turning it back on, turning on and off voice dictation, and factory resetting my phone. None of these solutions have helped, and I can guarantee my camera is not covered up until by anything either. I was wondering if this is a common issue for users with the IPhone X, and if anyone knows a solution as to why my front camera doesn’t work but I can still use Face ID.

Cameras my iPhone XR overheated and it caused moisture in the cameras. The cameras worked when fogged; however, the next morning they were cleared and my phone was telling me it was unable to access the cameras or enable Face ID. Does anyone know how to fix this? I’ve tried restarting several times.

The support article that you came here from should have provided you the steps necessary to troubleshoot Face ID on your iPhone (the iPhone doesn't use Photo ID). If it didn't help, then your next step is to make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your options.
