Have a MacBook Air. from it I have a triple connector with a

USC-C; HDMI and a regular USB port [which I can drive my printer with and work my mouse]. I tried to add and aftermarket USB-C/USB connecter to be able to leave my mouse hooked up and drive my printer. Alas, this after-market connector neither worked the mouse nor the printer.

Thoughts in order to have 2 USB hook ups??

External Powered USB Hub:

If you are connecting high powered devices(i.e. printer) to this hub, then use an external-powered USB hub.
