USB-C and USB-A

Help!

I have Macbook Pro 2017 and I bought Belkin 4-Port Mini Hub that has 2 USB-C and 2 USB-A. The USB-C are not working. I connected it into the laptop and then connected my charger into the device but it not charging. I have restarted my laptop but still the same. I was hoping to connect laptop charger and separate screen into the device since there are only 2 USB-C ports on the laptop.

USB-A is working tho.

Thank you everyone in advance.

Hi there Nanne-B, hope you had a great Easter,. I think i can help you on this one: this hub does not support pass-thru charging and the usb-c ports don’t support video outputs to monitors.. this hub is for usb-c and usb-a peripherals ( eg usb-c or usb-a thumb sticks, printers etc) . See if you can return it and get your money back on it.. as this is passive it won’t do charging. What you need is an active Usb-dock , maybe one with a power cord/wall wart you have to plug into the wall. This one from Belkin should do the job:
