Alternative pay method for App Store purchase
An apple App Store purchase was declined because of problems with my paypal account that I used. Can I change and use an apple gift card for my purchase?

- Add funds to your Apple ID balance - "Use a payment method, such as a credit or debit card, to add funds to your Apple ID balance." This takes the previous payment method one step farther by optionally using it to irreversibly add balance to an Apple ID instead of having the card charged each time.

Adding any kind of valid payment method (including redeeming a gift card) will get Apple to automatically try to charge it again.
