One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the other ID and download them using the new ID if desired. After deleting the apps, it may be necessary to restart the device/computer before you can download the apps again. If necessary, check your purchases history to see which apps/purchases weren’t made by the current ID.
You can't merge Apple IDs You can try setting up Family Sharing between the IDs if you want to be able to share purchases made with the IDs.
I appear to have changed the email address associated with my apple id at some point. In iTunes, I have music marked as purchased by both. The ones marked purchased by the old address will not family share. I tried adding the old address to the family network and Apple said the email address was not valid. Is there a solution for that?
While this suggestion was not the solution, it lead me to the solution. It turns out that some music in my library still has DRM on it. We have a new computer and I had not authorized iTunes Lon it.
