IOS 14.4.2 severe bugs

I just updated to IOS 14.4.2 and the bugs are too much. I didn’t quite expect Apple to release a public update when there are SO many bugs. Everytime I use the phone in horizontal mode, the widgets screen starts popping in. I use my phone to take video calls and to look up charts, etc and all this requires using the phone horizontally. This is the first bug I found and it’s barely been 5 mins since I updated the version. I have an iPhone 11. I have also found that my battery health is deteriorating very fast. It’s barely been a year since I bought this phone and it’s already at 93%!! I used to own an iPhone 6 Plus before this phone and it’s battery health is still 80+ after all these years!!

Hello Shreyaas,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities. We understand that after updating you're having some issues with rotating the screen while watching videos, as well as battery life not being what you expect. For both issues, after updating the software, did you also update the apps? This can help with odd issues and battery life too: How to manually update apps on your Apple device

For battery life concerns, great information on maximizing battery life and how batteries age can be found here: iPhone Battery and Performance

Also be sure to check the battery usage to be sure nothing is using more battery than it should. Those steps can be found here: About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

After making any necessary adjustments, and updating your apps (if you didn't already), restart your iPhone, then check to see if any issues remain: Restart your iPhone

Keep us posted.

Take care.
