iPhone Software Update

So the day the new software 14.4.2 came out I went to update my old phone I still have to the newest update, somehow it ended up in my bag when I left for work and was still updating, now it’s been quite a few days and it’s died once and recharged however it’s STILL UPDATING. I’ve tried almost anything I could possibly think of and even left it alone for 24 hours AFTER recharging it and leaving it on the charger too! I don’t know what else to do can someone help me understand what’s going on with it please!
