Group chat with an iCloud email address

okay So with work we have a group chat, an well yesterday they added the new persons email address ( which is iCloud ) to the group messages. Everyone in the group chat but me got the new message thread, all the messages showed up in my old group message thread. Even I tried sending a message including the email address an it sent but for everyone else it showed up in the old message thread ... in the group chat including my phone 3 Apple phones an 2 android . But I’m the only one having this issue

why am I not able to receive messages in the new group chat w the email address an why can’t it send to everyone else ? Why why why

Hello Meggslynnn,

We understand that group text messages are not working as expected on your iPhone when a new @icloud.com email address was added. We’d like to help however we can.

To confirm, are you able to send individual messages to everyone in this group message including the newly added email address or does something similar happen?

Have you tried to leave the group message and rejoin?

Add and remove people in group text messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let’s also make sure your iPhone is fully updated.
