How do I use my Apple ID balance to pay for my Apple TV subscription?

How do I use my Apple ID balance to pay for my Apple TV subscription? I’m getting a credit for the sub amount added to my balance every month but the charge goes directly to my bank acct every month and I don’t know how to use the balance to pay instead?
