Swipe to Delete

After latest iPhone update, new swipe left and right options have populated in gmail app. I went to settings to restore swipe to delete functionality but “delete” isn’t even listed as an option. Absolutely HATE the fourt step delete process now: swipe, select other, scroll down, select trash. How can I restore one step swipe to delete?

Annoying swipe function on ipad email program When I go into my email program I sometimes accidentally touch an email and it swipes to the right and disappears. It appears that this is a way to delete messages quickly but it is a bit too quick for my liking and I want to get rid of it. Even more annoying is that I have set mail to ask if I want to delete but that doesn’t stop the messages doing the disappearing trick. Is there a way to stop this or is it just a bug that I have to put up with?

Archive swipe left option in Mail app on iPad Pro I somehow activated this feature on my iPhone 12 mini for my iCloud mail account. But when I look at my Swipe left options for in settings it’s not visible. I think there is somehow a different path to this setting. My swipe left option on my iPhone is set to ‘None’ but when I physically swipe left ‘Archive’ appears, just not on my iPad. Could someone please assist.

If you're talking about the Gmail app, please contact Google Gmail support team and ask them.

If you're talking about the Apple Mail app, you can go to Settings>Mail>Swipe Options and choose your preferred action.
