Apple web pages don't open in Safari

Help!

Ever since I updated my 15-inch mid-2012 Macbook Pro Retina to Catalina, I can't use Safari to open Apple web pages. Some pages have incorrect formatting, as if the style sheets aren't loading properly, and are unreadable and unusuable. Other pages simply get a "can't open page" error. I had to open Chrome to enter this question, in fact.

What the ****? I mean . . . what the ****?
