Previously, I was able to preview email messages in a side column on my 11 year old Mac (unto date with OS High Sierra 10.13.6). Suddenly that viewing option is gone and unable to find a solution online for my late model. Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Patti

Thank you for your reply. I am so sorry but I am still not clear on how to do this. What exactly do you mean by “right edge of the Mail window”?
The right side, as opposed to the left side.
Hover the cursor over the right edge of the Mail window until it turns to a left pointing arrow. Clack and drag to the left until the preview pane pops open. It doesn't slide open.
