On macOS 11.2 you do it in the System Preferences > AppleID (In the top row of the System Preferences).

  • Click AppleID, then "iCloud" in the sidebar,
  • set the checkmark for iCloud Drive in the right pane.
  • Click "Options" to select the apps you want to access iCloud Drive.


Then bring the Finder forward by clicking the empty Desktop and go to the main menu bar "Finder > Preferences". In the Finder Preferences click the tab "Sidebar" and add iCloud Drive to the Finder sidebar, so you can see it in the Finder.
