"Smart Mailboxes" need to go...

In the iOS mail app, Smart Mailboxes are always on top of other accounts. I've come to terms with their existence, but I'm never going to use them.

When I choose "edit" in the mailboxes screen, I can turn all the smart mailboxes off EXCEPT ONE. No matter what I do, mail requires me to have at least one smart mailbox enabled (check grayed out).

Add to that, whatever smart mailbox I've begrudgingly allowed to exist is always on top of my other mailboxes.

I want MY email account(s) on the top. Does anyone know how to just disable all the smart mailboxes that Apple jammed into mail, or at least relegate them to the bottom of the list?

Thanks in advance!

Mine doesn’t. It’s stayed at the bottom of the list for many years. I can’t guess why yours acts differently. It’s not really a “smart” mailbox, BTW. My Mac has those that automatically sort mail by subject, sender, or other filters. It’s just a combined mailbox for all of your accounts. Did you try moving it to below your last account?
