Automatic screen dimming on iPhone 12

Anyone else absolutely hate how Their 12 pro max WILL NOT stay at max brightness. In an act to combat heat, apple decided the best thing to do was to force you to use your phone at 1/2 brightness. Even with True Tone and auto brightness off, the screen will dim to 50%, making it almost impossible to see anything outside.

Auto dimming I just purchased the 12 pro max, and already I am having issues with the brightness on the phone changing on its own. I do NOT have auto brightness on or True Tone. Is there any way to fix this issue?

Phone dims with auto-brightness off & True Tone off My iPhone SE dims in an auto-brightness fashion when I don’t want it to. It dims even with auto-brightness OFF, True Tone OFF, power saver OFF, and phone NOT overheating. It has done this since first purchased. The phone has been turned on and off, and it has been updated. I want the brightness to stay at max brightness, but it simply won’t let me and always adjusts the brightness.
