How do i get 144hz 1080p with macbook pro m1

If you hold the Option key and click open Scaled you can adjust refresh rate.

For highest refresh rates and lowest heat generated, be sure to connect using DisplayPort, not HDMI.

HDMI was invented a long time ago for TV sets. Pressing it beyond basic TV is fraught with peril.

The threshold of visual perception is about 10 Hz, 1/6 second. The threshold that MOST users can perceive for flickering is about 60 to 75 Hz.

Using DisplayPort or similar connection method, you will be able to reach the fastest refresh rate your Mac can produce. Apple does not specify what that is, except for the 6K HDR display.
