How do i get 144hz 1080p with macbook pro m1

Hello I am thinking about purchasing a 144hz Gaming Monitor, Link:https://www.laptopsdirect.ie/aoc-g2490vxa-23.8-full-hd-va-freesync-144hz-gaming-monitor-g2490vxa/version.asp

But i am wondering if I will be able to achieve 144hz connecting to macbook pro m1 13inch.

I have done some researching and believe that you need a specific cable but I am not sure, if anyone could help me out that would be great.

Thank you.

If you hold the Option key and click open Scaled you can adjust refresh rate.

The threshold of visual perception is about 10 Hz, 1/6 second. The threshold that MOST users can perceive for flickering is about 60 to 75 Hz.

Using DisplayPort or similar connection method, you will be able to reach the fastest refresh rate your Mac can produce. Apple does not specify what that is, except for the 6K HDR display.
