messages on macbook and iphone not syncing

Thank you! What had happened was that iMessages was not enabled from my Apple ID, just my phone number. I have no clue how that got switched off. Anyway, once I did that I was able to follow your instructions on the text forwarding.

On the iPhone >> Settings >> Messages >> and should like like in picture ( Text Frowarding and make sure the laptop is listed and enabled.

I have done that..still not working. Yes, both devices have been re-started as well. Something with this latest ios update has stopped the 2 devices from talking to each other.

So - your issue was fixed or still more work needed ?
