I am Admin: cannot make changes

Hello Apple community,

I inherited my MacBook Pro 2014 from a previous job and although they set my account to Admin before I left and their access has been completely removed (including remote control access), there are still several options greyed out on my Mac, namely renaming the computer or making the different accounts visible at the login screen. I have followed all recommendations to no avail.

Any idea what I can do to regain control of all changes on my Mac?

After hours of fiddling with the settings, finally figured it out.

Basically my company had installed certificates and profiles (System & Preferences --> Profiles) that were preventing me from having full admin rights. Removed the MDM + CA + JAMF certificates and I've regained control!
