Flickering Pink Screen Display Flex Cable Issue

My 2-year-old 2018 MacBook Pro experienced this issue. After researching solutions and coming up empty-handed, I found that SO MANY APPLE USERS who like me have a 1-2 yr old MacBook that one day turns into THIS… a flaw of the 13” and 15” newer Touch Bar laptops.

What’s worse is when people call apple to get it fixed, Apple tries to charge them $700+ for the repair, one that is Apple’s own technical flaw / hardwiring issue. Even when speaking on the phone with a senior advisor for Apple support, he said that I did nothing wrong and this is not due to user error. This is an Apple hardware issue.

In 2016 this nearly same issue happened to those who purchased the 2016 MacBook Pro, and 3 yrs later in 2019 Apple finally put out a public release of offering free repairs to those with this #flexgate issue… but 2017 and 2018 MacBook Pro owners are also facing this same issue and Apple refuses to offer a free repair to users like myself.

Sharing this video along with the following screenshots of other users who experienced this issue and were told to fork over the money to fix it, money that is over 50% the cost of a new MacBook Air. Does this feel fair?

Watch video here and let me know if your laptop is having the same issue: https://youtu.be/3x7c4bREgEU
