iCloud storage

So let’s say I buy the 50GB plan and use 20/50GB and fail to pay the $0.99 fee the next month. What happens to my data? Am I locked out if it until I pay again?

iCloud storage payments If I were to buy, let’s say 50GB of iCloud data and pay for it for the month of december but cancel it in January so it wouldn’t renew would I still be able to use it until it runs out? Or would I immediately be reverted back to 5G before the next payment?

You rent, not buy.

All data over the free 5GB plan is removed. It will not "magically return" when you resume payment.
