Find my iPhone HELP

So I forgot to turn off the find my iPhone before resetting my old phone. I logged (with the same apple id) into said old phone after resetting it and went into the settings to disable the find my iPhone after the new phone was set up. Will this prevent activation lock on the old phone? I had to reactive the find my iPhone on the new phone after doing this, so I am assuming it worked.

thanks in advance.

Yes. If you have disabled Find My iPhone, then there is no activation lock either. You are good to go.
