iPhone continuously connected to website

My iPhone 8 shows a screen-time of basically 24 hours a day, and when I look at the activity, io9.Gizmodo.com (with the safari icon) is the activity that is running 20+ hours a day. I don’t use safari on my phone and I can find it running. Anyone know what’s happening?

As a last resort:

F. Restore iPhone from a Backup:

Have any backups of this iPhone prior to the this occurrence? If so, then restore your iPhone from it.

Google This: io9.Gizmodo.com app

Remove Gizmodo:

Hold you finger down on the icon, and then tap the "X". All should be uninstalled.

See this icon anywhere?:
