iPhone X swollen battery

While I was on call I heard a loud crackling noise on my phone got scared and looked at the phone the screen was getting pushed out. I tried my best to shut the phone down but screen was not working but I could only hear system sounds for long press lock screen and volume button. Eventually gave up and kept it on the patio just in case it catches fire.

Contacted Apple, showed them pictures. Took an appointment, there response it’s not in warranty we can’t do anything! Not even fix it as we don’t know what else is damaged! Like seriously it’s just a 3yr old phone as expensive as a laptop and it was about to burst on my ear. Like what happened to good old quality products? The iPhone won’t even last 3yrs now and may even burst in your hand?

Really not sure what you're expecting from other users on a user to user only forum. Clearly your phone suffered an issue. Out of the millions upon millions upon millions of iPhone X out there, we see hardly ANY posts from users like what happened to your phone.

We don't know how your phone was used, charged or cared for. Things can go wrong. They can go wrong with high end cars, cameras, computers, appliances, just about any product you can buy.

Since you've had it evaluated by Apple, you'll have to chalk it up to a loss and recycle the phone responsibly.
