Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, you're unable to log into the Apple TV app on your new MacBook, and we'd like to help.
For this concern, we recommend following the steps in the section, "Sign in to or out of the Apple TV app," here:
Use your Apple ID to sign in to the Apple TV app on Mac
From there, if you have two-factor authentication enabled for your Apple ID, you should then be able to receive a verification code on another trusted device in order to sign in to your Apple ID on your Mac. To learn more, check this out:
