No, Macs are computers, they are not displays for other devices. If your Lenovo needs an external display, please buy one for it, they start at about $100.00. And no, there are no work arounds. We get your question about 5-10 per day, the answer is always the same though.

There is one 3rd Party software option DuetDisplay that will allow you to wirelessly contact your iMac as an external display. rkaufmann87, is correct there is no way to just have setup your iMac as an external monitor.

Apple never intended, supported, or documented any Target Display Mode procedures for devices that do not say "Apple".
Even when TDM was full supported and life was easier., it was never a slam dunk. People commonly spent enough morning on cables to have bought a couple of real nice external monitor
