apple watch face too dim in sunlight

I have the brightness set to the maximum, but find that the screen is impossible to read in daylight. Even if I go into the shade. The only way to fix it is to turn the watch off and then on again. This is annoying. Please help.

This is the ambient light sensor kicking in.This adjusts screen brightness to match your surroundings.

If you want a laugh here is the workaround;

As soon as your Apple Watch screen starts to go dim:

Take out your iPhone

Open Control Center and enable Flashlight

Point the light directly at your watch screen

This will get the watch to its full brightness setting in a dark room or places with lack of light.
